What exactly in the engine makes it a multi fuel? ie the pump, injectors etc. Does an indirect injection make it multi fuel? Can a regular diesel be changed to multi-fuel? Any help in this area would be appreciated. thank in advance
Welcome to the site! ill get at it before someone else does, alot of ppl around here dont like answering questions that have been covered a dozen times, use the search function, you will find tons of info on what makes said engine a multi fuel.
here is the answer for anyone who is interested. Multi fuel is accomplished with indirect injection and a lower compression to accommodate more volatile fuels such as gasoline. There is folks eat it raw.
More reading is necessary for sure! Multi-fuel deuce engines have 22 to 1 compression, regular diesel engines have 17 to 1 compression, gasoline engines are usually less than 10 to 1.
