Steel Soldiers now has a few new forums, read more about it at: New Munitions Forums!
Nice building and a good use of the HEMTT to raise the trusses... If you ever want to remove it, the HEMTT can also raze the trusses! Not this week, but we did use our HEMTT M985 to raise the trusses on a barn that I/We built for my wife and her mom for their gardening barn.
You've got some hoses to replace, eh? I saw the hydraulic pee-stream in a few of the pics of yours. Mine will need hoses too, the site manager said my "crane has leaky hoses" but he described them as seepage, not squirtage.Starting this thread up.

More photos of that mod/install. I'd like to do this too. We'll this was not "this week" but rather over the last 6 months
1. Took delivery
2. Upgraded to a fass fuel filter, and mrap air dryer
3. Installed new brakes and wheel bearings
4. Replaced all 9 tires with new Goodyear 1600 r20 AT3's
All of this was done with A&H recon ( vintage iron)
coming up will be the install of a hemtt crane assembly, and a lmtv bed!
And I just took delivery on a new old stock hemtt cab! Still has new car smell
Very nice installation, I'm curious what the advantages are... Isn't the MRAP air dryer still a desiccant dryer? You can get a HEMTT air dryer kit for like $20. What does 'fass' mean, and what makes those fuel filters better? It's not like the Parker/Racor unit on the HEMTT uses expensive or hard to get filters.More photos of that mod/install. I'd like to do this too.
