I am currently looking at an M35A2 with an LDS-465-1A engine, winch, soft top, 35k miles, 1400 hours and real nice body on it for $4750. I read that the LDS-465-1A is between 180 and 210hp, where it seems like all the others (LDT-465-1D's and C's) are around 134hp. They have a variety of trucks i could pick from and i remembered that the LDS-465-1A had more power. Would i be sad later if i waited for another truck to come along? I still have some college loans to pay off and could have that done by next fall the rate im paying now. So should i jump on this truck or pay off my loans. I have the deuce bug and i cant seem to shake it!:-D

P.S. Im still new to deuces, so correct me if im wrong on something. I try to read up on things as much as i can though! :-D

Thats an excellent price for a deuce with the LDS engine. Most of them did not come with that engine so thats a pretty good deal. I say buy it now!!!

I don't think any deuces came from the factory with that engine in them. You do see some come along every now and then with the LDS 465. I figured they slipped them in durring a engine swap at some point.

yea, i know what you guys mean. i should get my loans paid off, but i'd hate to see that LDS walk away. maybe it will still be there when i get them paid off...i hope. kenny kublo is a good guy and i know his trucks are nice. i guess ill throw more cash at my loans and hope to have them paid off sooner maybe.....and i heard people on here say, "you guys are a bad influence" hahahaha, no so much. i dont like your advise, but i guess its the right thing to do is pay off my loans first and hope its still there....sigh:cry: Thanks for your input though, i still appriecate it.

Patience is key. Take care of your loans first. There will be another one that will pop up when the time is right. Trust me. It will workout. Maybe not as soon as you'd like, but, hey, it's life, after all...

I would get the truck. Your student loans are low interest, and the truck will be worth more later as they become harder to find. feed your addiction. All being said, every one here would have told you to buy it had you not told us about your student loans. you financial status is none of our busness. you do with your money as you see fit, after all, we did.

If you want it bad enough , buy the truck. The LDS in it already makes it special enough to be moderately foolish with your money. If things get really tight you can sell the truck to one of us (at a DEEP discount) and reclaim some of your cash. I would say that a major majority of the money spent on these trucks is done on the "I just want it" principle, not because we need them for a logical purpose. Of course myself I'm preparing for ZOMBIES. :tin hat:

Well if you do not decide to buy it, someone else who has read this thread certainly will. I wanted a hardtop, but I guess I should have been looking at some of the softtops also... Oh well. If you do buy from Ken he will make sure you are happy, he is a great guy to deal with.

Perhaps if you arrange to give him a few hundred bucks towards the deuce, now and then, he will put it on hold for you until you pay off your loans?

School loans don't go away until they are paid in full, so buy the truck, you only live once:-D If you loose your source of income the loans will be there when you can afford to pay them again:wink:

There; I will be the bad influence:p

Before the next 3 years are up the gov will be paying off all bad loads. So buy the deuce, in fact by 2. It is the new American way. Spend a million to save a thousand.:idea::idea:
