What is the most common problem with the 200A NIEHOFF alternator?

The answer seems to be the regulator much more often than the alternator itself

These units are brushless

Yes I know, does not mean they would be immune to failure, they have diodes inside and windings that could fail, but apparently it is usually the regulator
