I am looking to install a pyrometer in my truck and read some threads about them burning up. what kind did you install and roughly did you pay for it.
Steel Soldiers now has a few new forums, read more about it at: New Munitions Forums!
Autometer....no problems so far.
I just ordered the same one and it should be at the house when I get back from Scotland.Ordered and installed this 24V pyrometer: http://www.auberins.com/index.php?ma...roducts_id=230
I set the high limit alarm at 1150F. I installed the probe in the manifold just above the turbo, in the rear portion of the collector, where EGT is reported to be highest. I'm really happy with it.
I've seen one on a deuce (here in some older pages), I wonder if it would pull a higher-negative while going downgrade, near over rev territory.not totally, itll show boost, but as diesels generally don't suck........that side won't be used
