I've go some sort of sending unit on one of my deuces that I haven't seen before. I've looked at the TMs but couldn't find it.

It's a sending unit with two wires going to it mounted on top of the manifold water jacket right above the temp sending unit. Every other truck and engine I've seen just had a pipe plug in this spot. Only thing different on this truck is it has a heater and either start but can't figure what this would have to do with these items. I know, I should have took a pic but I didn't have my camera with me at the time.

It is a coolant temp sensor, for the ether start system. I will not allow the ether to work , when the engine coolant is above a certain temperature. I can't remember the actual temp.
