Part of a hose clamp that held the fire putter outer?

Hose clamp. Probably from heater hose maybe. Otherwise start checking for coolant leaks.

The signal switch lever is held to the steering column, with a hose clamp.

This makes logical sense... The green paint says that it is something near the dash which is painted green. Anythihng near the firewall or floor boards is painted with bed liner material and black. Was hoping it was not some type of special air fitting screw that was previously painted by someone else.
