Where to find a new glow plug solenoid and relay?

Hello,

I've consulted the TM for a new glow plug solenoid and it says that they were manufactured by a company called CAMTEC. It appears they do not make the part anymore and I cannot buy a CAMTEC solenoid directly. What are acceptable aftermarket brands that I can use / have been used by others with success? I'm worried about just going to NAPA or something getting handed one that doesn't work right.

Same situation for the relay. It is also manufactured by CAMTEC. Can someone also please tell me where the relay is located? I looked at the diagram and still couldn't really tell.

For the solenoid I purchased Napa Part #: ECH ST85 and it works good.

The TM's do not tell you who produced a part. They can tell you who supplied it to the military. That is not always the same. Post up some NSN's and or Part numbers, and often we can find another supplier and or other part numbers.

Use the NAPA part number listed above. It's the safest route. Do not confuse it with a starter solenoid that comes in the same package or you will fry your glow plug controller.
