85 M1009. Master brake cylinder is rusted and leaking everywhere. The manufacturer in the TM for the master brake cylinder is no longer in business. Can I buy just any old cylinder from advanced auto parts or are there any particular brands you guys have had success with / are clones of the OEM?

Order a master cylinder for a 1984 M1009

And avoid parts from Autozone and Advanced Auto parts... they sell the cheap low quality stuff

Napa and O'Reilly has decent parts

I rebuild mine...bead blast the case and steel mount and pop new seals in it...pretty simple to do.

News Flash. They all sell the same parts they are just packaged and labeled differently. I bought parts from NAPA several times and when I went to install, I noticed they were the same Dorman parts that AutoZone sells. at this point in time OEM parts are far and few between. And rebuilt in USA parts are even scarce. My opinion if it matters any is replace the parts with what you can get and retain the receipt. most parts are warranted for life at AutoZone and Advanced. 1986 CUCV M1009 Decade after being wrecked. | Page 18 | SteelSoldiers
Check out these oil cooler lines. Dormans rebadged to NAPA.
