the wrecker WillWagner is the one i'm curious about. M246, i'll have to see what info i can find about it thanks yall.

they have a few of these lying around, all asking $1k unknown running condition but that wrecker keeps catching my eye. might get a quick loan before i deploy and pick it up if it seems like a decent project and i can find a place to put it until my return.

Shyt, it's worth $2K in scrap metal (don't tell the seller that). Treat 'em like Pokemon as ya gotta get them all!

(concentrating real hard, praying to myself):

I can't use the credit card, I can't use the credit card, I can't use the credit card....

I'll go with the M246 gasser as I don't see a stack either. $1000 eh? I'd say if they are asking $1000 for the M246, they will probably ask 79 cents for the M880

lol thats the price they told me when i asked about it about a week ago. if the weather permits i'm gonna go take a close look at it tomorrow after work, make sure they have the title and see if the wrecker is in decent/repairable shape. they told me it doesnt run but didnt say why.

aparantly there are 3 motors available depending on whether its the original/A1/A2. 1st Continental R6602 Gasoline, 2nd Mack ENDT-673 Diesel, 3rd LDS-465-1A Turbo Multifuel. both a wrecker and able to tow 5th wheel trailers, but so far thats pretty much all the info i've found about it.

the 246 is the same as the 819 except the earleir series, the only thing different is the engine, get it if it runs or not, there is at least $3500 in parts, there is a bunch of us that have m62s or 819s , all the AW stuff is the same except the boom

hahahaha lovin the enthusiasm yall!! goin tomorrow to look it over closely (see if its mostly intact and rebuildable), if thats the case gonna double check the price, make sure it has a title, and talk to my credit union about a short loan that i can pay off while deployed. then its finding a way to get it towed to storage.

if it doesnt have a title, say just a bill of sale, how difficult would it be to get a new title and get it registered? i'm a Texas resident (where i will register it) just stationed in Utah if that makes any info easier.

Thats if its still there. There are guys here that if something rare (and cheap) hits the forum, they'll google map your location and find the thing by sattallite (sp?) photo and be out the door in an hour. :p

Hmmmm my brother lives in Utah.......
