I am looking into getting a 5 ton tractor, probably a M818. How are you guys insuring these trucks? State Farm insures my deuce, but i'm not sure if they'll insure a 5 ton tractor.
Steel Soldiers now has a few new forums, read more about it at: New Munitions Forums!
That's how I had mine listed too.Mine is insured with state farm as an historical vehicle (non commercial) no questions asked. $100 a year
Perhaps there is a year involved. When I went to register my 915 they asked about trailer which I didn't have and they said they can't do Tractor only policy because the nature of the vehicle.I got price quote on my m818 from state farm and they didn't ask me if I had a trailer?
Hum interesting, I wonder why you would need a trailer but we don't, different state laws maybe, for insuring?Perhaps there is a year involved. When I went to register my 915 they asked about trailer which I didn't have and they said they can't do Tractor only policy because the nature of the vehicle.
Which is why I bought my M871.
That makes a little more sense, mine is 9 years older. Not a tractor but the truck is to new to be historic so I went with a non compercial policy from gulfway
