Will I be safe using this trailer

I wanted to make sure I d be safe pulling this trailer with my LDS465 I have a 1985 GMC Suburban 2500 2wd 350cid hitch is rated 1000 tongue# 4000 deadweight# 9500 trailer weight# no trailer brakes.

Are you pulling it empty to get it home? The M332 should only weigh about 3K.

Take you time and you should be ok, just don't be in a hurry, leave distance.

No trailer brake with that much weight IMO is asking for trouble.

I should know, I hot shot on the side and have had to turn down some loads due to no brakes, lost some money but just wasn't safe.

Yes my F250 could have handled it no problem, but what happens when you have to slam on the brakes.

Remember Newton:

I. Every object in a state of uniform motion tends to remain in that state of motion unless an external force is applied to it.

Brakes would be your external force in this case. No brakes and the trailer might end up in front of you, well next to you.

I am not going to do it if I cant do it safely. Uhaul trailers aren't rated for 2100lbs and I dont know anyone I can borrow one from.So I ll have to think on this some more.

Uhaul has a tandem axle with a max load of 2670. With ramp has max load of 2110. Heavy ramp.

The engine is 1650lbs plus anotther 480lbs for lower container half. I am trying to do this safely and do it in a cost effective manner.Safety 1st

There enclosed trailer would be overloaded and I would rather break my stuff not someone elses.

My Suburban has a trailer brake controller under dash but not for air and converting it if even possible is not cost effective.

Get a U-haul car trailer and some good straps.
