Winch on a 1008

I'm sure this is buried somewhere on the site, but if I want to run a 12V winch on a stock M1008, can I just run the leads to the front battery 12V? Or do I have to run wires back to the junction blocks on the firewall? Thanks for the help.

Devilman put one on his M1009; it's the best looking mount i've seen. It looks factory. (sorry no help on how to wire it).

Just use the front battery with added fuse protection. The terminal blocks will not hold the high current (unless you are using the 24v block)
