Wing screw air filter housing

My air filter housing is missing a wing screw! Can someone please tell me the exact measurements!?

If you jump in the tm you can find the gm part number. I found a few not long ago on ebay. I think the thread is 8x1.25 though...can use a washer and nut. Take the stud out and hit the hardware store. I'm not sure how you buy stuff over there.

The thread is by no means metric 8! The threaded rod can be metric, but it is narrower than 8mm. The slope could be 1.25. Unfortunately, I didn't find anything in the TM.
Maybe I'll just take the studs out and replace them with simple metric threads😉

I looked at a spare engine I have it's a 6x1 thread. I think the bottom thread is standard though. Such a weird thread combo. I had a few bad studs and put nuts and extra washers on them to get new thread on the nut. The wing nuts don't have much thread on them. I have several stripped wing nuts I've been meaning to weld a nut on top of to make it easier to remove the cover just haven't done it yet.

I believe the air cleaner studs have larger threads at the manifold. If you were to replace them with all thread, you may have to drill the airbox lid to pass them. If you're doing that anyway, you could try stacking a pair of air filters with longer studs. It makes the CUCV noticeably louder, faster, and depending upon how much blow by you've got, smokier. Two filters fit under the OEM hood and if you don't like it, it's immediately reversible and you have an extra filter for next time.
