So today I got my voltmeter (thanks again nw42) and since all I have in the dash is a hole for one I figured a simple hook up. Problem is the only wire that is loose is all the way behind the fan blower box and is about eight or so inches too short from reaching the back of the gauge. So my question is this. The voltmeter grounds itself out on the frame of the truck for negative, what should I hook up the positive side too? In a car I know to my fuse box. But on the Duece?

You can hook that lead to any wire that switches on and off with the run switch. The gauge spider may have an unused leg on it that would work well.
