Not for a restoration but what do you use as a economical preservative for the wood deck on your car hauler or equipment trailer? The oak planks on my trailer are looking weathered and I would like them to last a few more years.

Thanks

Use drain oil! Think recycle! Try to get a hot day & use a paint roller with a broom stick screwed into the roller handle. It goes nice and fast and works well. I like the oil from diesels best. It will leave things a nice black & look sharp in a couple of days.

Copper naphthenate .
Boiling with linseed or parafin works great also ....if you have something big enough to boil them in.
Copper naphthenate can be painted on. Copper naphthenate keeps everything at bay.
