Looks like a good idea. About the same setup as the M1009. Was it hard to make the mounts?

Everything came as a kit mounts and all bolts, wiring everything all I had to do was install it.

I installed a Scotts Level Lift on my bobbed deuce also but could not find a 24V pump. Where did you find the 24V version? I am running the 12V off one battery and it is difficult to keep it charged if I am working it hard. I normally end up connecting a charger to it plugged into land power while I am loading dirt. I hear that is not good for the batteries.???

When I am out in the shop today, I'll look and see if there's a part # on the pump. I didn't buy it, former owner BlythewoodJoe did.

Different truck than the first one in this thread, but I thought since I already had a thread up, I'd add to it.

Friend got a dump truck stuck Saturday. We figured with the gravel in it, it weighed about 20K lbs. Pulled it up the hill with no issues.

Well, not a hill like going up the side of the mountain, but the dump truck was a solid 8' lower than my truck, over a distance of probably 125' at most. And red clay is like ice when it gets wet.

I'm just jerking your chain. My driveway has a 50ft drop from top to bottom. First thing I had to do before building a house was put in a concrete driveway. Not that unusual out here in the foothills of the Cascade mountains.

So my buddy u/It'saplymouth calls me last night and is all "Hey, can you bring the deuce over to the development in Bogart? I've stuck the Jacobsen mower in a detention pond."

I go over and walk the area with him, we made a plan and got the mower out in less time that it took to make the plan.

I've been working on getting my truck to the point where any tool, even as minor as gloves, is always in the truck so that in emergencies like this, the truck only has to be checked out (oil level, brake fluid, flat tires, light check) and leave, versus having to load up a bunch of gear. It paid off last night.

The drop hitch almost hung me up here on the concrete. Took it off for the return trip. Glad my receiver hitch is way up high.


Ok, let's spool some cable out and do this.

I really thought when I bought my first deuce all those years ago that it was one of those things like a boat or motorcycle that eats up a lot of time and money but really serves no practical purpose (I don't think you can call "fun" practical).

But we use our deuces (me and my small circle of friends that I've infected with the green iron disease) all the time.

This is the same facility a while back. u/RustyJunk was putting out riprap in another detention pond when the berm he was driving on collapsed and the skid steer went into the goo.

I thought you guys would enjoy these.

Helped a friend out who owns a landscape company. They're having to do a job for a client who has a yard with extreme erosion issues. There's a stormwater drain that dumps out halfway down their yard and with the volume and amount of water, it's killing them. So my buddy is building them a stream out of boulders. The shape will slow the water down and the boulders will keep the soil from going anywhere.

We made 2 runs, my deuce and his deuce pulling his M105. The place we got them from estimated the rocks were about 10K lbs.

My truck has a really nice bed so I was very paranoid about this. I laid thick (1/4") rubber mats over the whole bed floor, then put pallets on the floor and at the tailgate and toolbox. After 2 runs consisting on 20K lbs. of boulder, there was no damage, so we were all pretty happy about this.

Truck did really well. Very happy with it.
