Anybody knows what this was used for? It is marked Army Air Corps. It should have a duct attached. Ran it through the paint shop today. There was WWII OD under the yellow paint, so that is what I went back with. Made by Herman Nelson.

Its not of the same set up but the engine was a Briggs so it could be for another MFG. But this might be the blower unit for a aircraft pre heater. it would be attached to the furnace part that was gas fired and force the hot air through the other side into the ducts that would be attached to the aircraft such as the engines and oil tanks.
