X-doors seals to what on top?

Hello. Great forum you guys have here, I am a new member.

Have plans to purchase an early M998, but due to weather conditions here in Norway, I will be needing a somewhat waterproof vehicle. As it is mostly soft tops available on the market, I would probably have to convert to hard doors and roof.

I have a question regarding the X-doors, when closing them; what do they seal against on top, where the roofline is?
That is, what connects the A, B and C braces on top? Is it the steel roof itself that comes down and forms the outline of the door opening on top, or is it separate braces? I hope this was understandable.

regards
Joe

Hello Joe,
If you want a waterproof HMMWV I would recommend an amtech or similar fiberglass hard top in which the doors would seal against top in a formed channel.
Soft or hard doors would work on these.
