Why are there no Marine trucks on GL? Are they sold elsewhere?
Steel Soldiers now has a few new forums, read more about it at: New Munitions Forums!
They don't have enough to sell any and the rest are on a ship somewhere.
I just buy the Army trucks and enlist them in the Marine corps. Stencils are wonderful!!!
We do have standards and often bring in other services. However, we mostly bring them in as Privates and stick them in the mess hall!I thought the Marines had standards and would not taken previous service members? Too hard to untrain all their bad habits
Army vets believe that Marine trucks do get surplussed out, but they usually have their controller memories removed before they get surplussed. Actually, the memory is removed prior to field service as well.
A.R.M.Y. Strong? Why the fuss about the truck being a Marine truck anyway? The trucks are similar to Army iron surely and there would be a larger pool of trucks to pick from if you went the Army Strong way.
Because they are rode hard and put up wet (in salt water). And the Marines don't konw any more about maintenance than the typical African hellhole. Why are there no Marine trucks on GL? Are they sold elsewhere?
Not quite true. Out of all the 5 ton trucks at MCLB Albany, only about half have lockers. There's usually a data plate on the glove box door or on the driver's door.the Marine 5ts had lockers in the rears
And fording kits, and 300,000 lb load capacity...the Marine 5ts had lockers in the rears
