Not sure if any of this will help. The CX? cable is actually a CX4720 iirc.
The power cord from the MT1029 to the battery is the CX4720 but has the opposite male/female fitting of the MX-7777. Does anyone have the correct cable#? I just got my 7777 today and would like to start putting things together.

Any close up pictures of the actual final installation? I don't have one of the manuals so I'm sort of winging it. My CX-4723 cables between the C-2298 and the AM-1780 are only 2' so I'm going to have to mount everything fairly close together. I'm going to need a longer one from the 1029 to the 1780 so before I order that I'd like to have the number for the 7777 cable so I can get them at the same time.

That power cord is the toughest component to find.
Well if it's a matter of not using the system because I can't find that cable I'll just have to chance not using the suppressor.

I've sent an email to Steve Haney to see if he has anything or can modify a CX-10071/U cable for me.

From the pictures of other folks units it appears that mine is a little different. The power plug is on the side instead of the back. Not that it makes any difference just something I noticed. I need to clean it up and get a coat of paint on it. Most of my other stuff is NOS so this'll look a little out of place next to it.

The correct cable is a CX-10613 power cable (battery to MX-7777). The one wsucougarx used is modified from a GRC-106. It has the same plug end as the 10613 and you just change the end the hooks to the battery.

EDIT:

Mike you and I must have been typing at the same time.

Mine is a MX-7777A so I guess that's where the difference is.

PS: Tell Scott he needs a cab reinforcement panel :)

Wow! $60??. Jeepers, I paid $9 for mine some time ago. Oh Scott, you do need a cab reinforcement plate. Be good to have for your overhead rack;-)
He may be talking about the actual one for the MX-7777 since they appear to be as rare as hens teeth.

And thanks for the plug. Your commission is in the mail

Actually price is $69.95 (+ $12 shipping). OUCH! I've found Columbia Electronics tends to be at the upper end of the price range but it is a new cable. I think I'll save that as a last resort if I can't get the GRC cable cheaper.

EDIT:

Mr. Haney has nothing.

I found a CX-10071 for $45 plus shipping but it's 19' long so that's a waste of a lot of cable. I'll try Pvt Jarhead to see if he has anything and keep looking.
