Steel Soldiers now has a few new forums, read more about it at: New Munitions Forums!
You won't see one on Gov-Liq as Uncle Sam doesn't surplus out armor to Civilians. I'd recommend Dave Uhrig: www.armyjeeps.netJust curious.... If money was no object, where would one go to purchase a tank? Haven't seen any on govliq
Oh that is sweet! I'm also getting the itch for a tank or APC. What's one of those in operating condition go for?If you want an actual "tank" not an APC, SPG or other tracked armor I can only really recomend one that fits in your price range: British FV101 Scorpion tank like in my avitar. They are easily transportable (about 8 tons), reliable, have rubber padded tracks and FAST!

That greatly depends if you are looking at one already in the US or you are purchasing one in the UK and importing it yourself. I haven't seen one in the US for less than $60,000 for quite some time. Are they out there for less? Perhaps, I just haven't seen one. I'm not current on the prices in the UK any more, try milweb.net for more current prices.Oh that is sweet! Where'd he get them so "cheap"?A guy who lives down the street from me has 2 T72 tanks paid 15 grand a piece for them

We own a m1a1 at the museum and at 4 gals, to 1 mile (yes thats right not the other way around) tanks are mot for a man or women how is on a budget. We try not to fire up the m1a1 more then once a year.Only $69,000.00!
He picked them up over in Russia I guess they are like m35s to us over thereWhere'd he get them so "cheap"?
Inside the USA? Short answer...No. Tanks don't come with titles and so can't be tagged for the road. Most States forbid the driving of tracked vehicles on state maintained road ways. I did know a guy who used to drive his M4A3 Sherman tank in local parades. He'd drive it to the jump off point (1 or 2 miles) & go from there. It did have rubber block tracks which still tore up the asphalt in the summer. I know there are lighter tracked MVs out there but they still don't meet DMV regs for on road operation...i know this is gonna sound dumb but can you drive a tank down the road with tags and all that or do they not allow them i never herd of it but i have seen un the uk that they do dive um like we do with the old iron we have
