OK, so I got accepted to bid on Gov'Liq site - fell head over heals for the M.A.N tractor wrecker but had to watch it slip away as time ran out due to not hearing back on the End User Certificate EUC requirement...
No idea how many more of these are around - don't even know why they were brought back to the states considering lack of in country dealer support.
They were sold many years ago in the UK and as far as I know Europe too but not recently.

Mean time I'll save the pennies.... Any one care to share tips on processing GovLiq auctions after an auction win?

Cheers. Howard

Howard, two things...first, my parents have a farm in Cherry Valley, NY! What are the odds!

Second, my friend in FL has the option of screening trucks out and TURNED THESE TRUCKS DOWN because they were not in very nice shape...missing stuff, rust, etc. He had someone inspect and lay his hands on them. Still, they are nice trucks!

You do know you fill out the EUC after you bid and win something. You dont have to fill out an EUC just to bid. (not to kick you while your down)

D@mn, I thought that the EUC would take a while and not get processed in time to meet the 'pay in full' and 'pickup' deadline.

Oh well... I'll keep reading! Thanks Howard

They will be expensive to restore!
Hey Cody - like the web site. So I see that you enjoy the trucks - did your search for parts ever take you outside the US... I know the British army is in the process of switching over to an all M.A.N fleet, and the SVR (wrecker) is one heck of a piece of kit, even the doors look the same as yours... My thoughts for the one just auctioned was to stir up my UK friends who either operate ones like yours commercially, or wait for current model spares if compatable - possibly.

Howard,
Parts are unobtainable in the USA, but they are great trucks. Wouldn't mind having one of those Foden wreckers either!
Cheers!

I really thought MR. TCODY, GOT these trucks, just for the parts alone would have made it worth it.

They bill you, charge your credit card, the next day after the auction closes and they usually send you an email about winning and an email about the euc, you have short period of time like a week or two to submit the euc.

It can take any thing from a few days to a couple of months for euc to clear.

You should receive an email when the euc clears and that starts your pickup window.

Ron,
Well - at least for the near future! She still doesn't know about "everything" I have got in the past - so I am staying on her good side for now.
