M101 Base model or A1. But not A2 or A3.

I always thought the M101A1 was for the M37 too. It still had the 9:00x16" tires and 5 hole Budd wheels too.

They came out after M37 production ended. Different axles/hubs/wheels.

I'm sure you COULD pull them just fine, just not period correct for the M-37

m100 or m416 would be "correct" too, but are smaller and have different wheels than the m37.

Fairly certain the manual only shows the M101's. IIRC the M100 was for the M38/M38A1's and M416 was M151's.

416 would be safer when it comes to stopping but its only negative is if you need to back up, you cant see the 416 with the tailgate up.

The M101 is the trailer that should be used. You should be able to see the item you're towing in your rear view mirror, An M416 is too small to see in the mirror.
