Audie Murphy day parade

Looking for mv's in the Dallas area to go to the Audie Murphy day parade. It's June 23 in Farmersville, about 30 mins north or Wylie on highway 78 near lake lavon. Well be meeting up at Mark Witham's (well known armor and mv collector) place that morning and convoy out to Farmersville early that morning. Pm me for further details if interested.

I live 20 mins away from the site where his plane crashed. There is a USFS fireroad that we'd go fourwheeling on (in highschool) that leads up to the monument/marker. It used to be full of mudholes until the FS bulldozed the entire 8 miles because they couldn't get there vehicles through it any longer.

It wasn't until several years later that I read his book and learned about his life and accomplishments.

I got a friend in greenville,who,s got a halftrack,cannon and trailer. He does the Audy Murphy day parade in greenville each year.His name is clay cunningham. He might can be in the parade.

I heard from Glenn and he said he would be attending. I would also be there, but I've committed to the MV display in Grapvine a couple of months ago. I like to keep my word. And my Dad is hopefully going to be with me.

IF they will do this again NEXT year I'll be there as well.

That will be good. I graduated from garland high in 94. Lived near garland rd and Kingsley back when it was safe to live there.
