Hello All, fairly new member from NJ. I cant get over all the great information on this site! I just purchased a M1009 from Arkansas and drove her almost 1,200 miles home with no problems! Trip was nerve racking and prayed almost the entire trip that I would not break down. Somehow, someway I left Mr. Murphy home when I made this trip and now realize how lucky I was without really knowing the vehicle personally. Normally I would not even consider this endevour however I quized the previous owner pretty good and am fairly familiar with the CUCV's.
As I arrived back home in NJ, Mr. Murphy was also eager to meet and greet the new M1009 addition to the familiy. My fuel guage seemed not to work and through my best friend on this sight, (SEARCH) I was able to find all the TM's I would ever hope for and troubleshoot the problem and also find instructions on another repair job.
I only wish I had found this site years ago when I owned my 1st M1008 and M1009.
Looking forward to participating in upcoming events.
