Well, I let my main m101 sit all winter untouched, then grabbed I to head to NY for the day, and the bearing grenaded on I78.

Anyone know the civilian equivalent part number for the wheel bearing? Surprisingly, I couldn't find it on SS.
I'm in a Walmart lot right now, but want to run over to Napa for a new one. I'm too far from home and too far from anyone to leave it and come back another day.

Since the M101 and M101A1 use the same hubs as the M37 and M37B1, you can utilize the parts cross reference page on my website, or you could contact any of the M37 parts dealers and order from them...

The parts cross reference page on my website for the M37 is located at
http://www.garbee.net/~cabell/PartsCross.PDF

To save you the effort of pulling up the page and looking at the first six lines, here's the info...

Bearing-Wheel, large: Timken 28682
Bearing-Wheel, small: Timken 2984
Race-Wheel, large: Timken 28622
Race-Wheel, small: Timken 2924
Flange Gastket: NAPA J26288
Seal, Inner Hub Oil: NAPA 49426, CR28116

These numbers also work for a later Dodge Power Wagon (the WM300's and the '50 B2 for instance) in case you need to tell your parts counter a civilian application...

Good luck.

I gotta' walk out the door (I'm at work) but I think the thread I linked you has some discussion and links about A1/A2/A3.

I have a M101a2 and two M101a3's On the ones I have the bearing, seals brake drums and brakes are the same. I do not know about the M116 series but would think that all the 8 lug trailers were the same.

Here are the Bearing Numbers.

LARGE BEARING/RACE

Inner Bearing 25580
Inner Race 25520

SMALL BEARING/RACE

Outer Bearing 2585
Outer Race 2520

GREASE SEAL

10-36 (double Lip)

The bearing and race numbers are for Timken. They are more expensive. I used china bearings in mine.

Here is a good source for parts. http://www.etrailer.com/

Here are the Bearing and Races:

http://www.etrailer.com/p-25580.html

http://www.etrailer.com/p-25520.html

http://www.etrailer.com/p-2585.html

http://www.etrailer.com/p-2520.html

Seals:

Brake assembly MINUS the parking brake Lever and Strut:

http://www.etrailer.com/p-23510.html Right side

http://www.etrailer.com/p-23510.html Left side

Brake Shoes:
http://www.etrailer.com/p-BP04-160/12-x-2-Hydraulic-Trailer-Brake-Shoe-and-Lining-One-Wheel.html

Now if I can find these at a Parts Store that are remanufactured they would be alot cheaper.

Bearing info is listed in the one sticky for the trailer forum. I just edited the title to include the word bearing.
