blow off valve on your turbo... anyone?

I searched all over SS and could not find anything about blow off valves... has anyone ever put a blow off valve on their turbo?
why would you want one on a diesel? a wastegate I understand, but I can only see a blowoff being usefull on a gas engine..(or very built diesel) unless I have been missing something somewhere.. (and that is very possible)

Even on a very built diesel they're not useful. Boost pressure should be controlled by fueling and wastegate. There is no throttle valve in a diesel intake.
