Saw this at the hardware store on Saturday. Farm plates on the back. Rode hard, put away wet! :(

seen at hardware store 15 jun 13_s.jpg

It's got a spare tire mount on the starboard inside wall. Looks like it would be pretty handy. Too bad - the whole thing is just going to rust.

Towed behind a shiny new pickup!

Maybe it's in good shape for the work it's done.

I had one in worse shape last year, it got parted out to those who can use them.

Some trucks and trailers aren't in great shape, and the owners just use them for work. Maybe not museum pieces or parade trucks, but they get work done. Bet you wouldn't hesitate to throw 1,500 lbs of firewood in that trailer. You might feel different about doing that to your parade-ready M101 trailer.

Looks about like my M101. It gets drug around all over the place. Last load was 10 11.00R20's on wheels. Trailers don't have to be flashy to me. Because they're just going to get beat on honestly.

Amazing it lasts this long for a 50 year old trailer.
If it was made by or for anyone else, it would be at the bottom of a rusty old scrap heap well before now.

You got that right. No parade prima donnas around here! I use mine to haul firewood, trash, and the occasional load of dirt or manure. It's got a farm jack mounted on the side, too.

Hey, Maddawg, recognize the location?

I don't know, It could be "Harley-ized"

Well, that ain't saying much. After seeing your work, I figure you could Harleyize just about anything! New sheet metal, whatever, you'll just fabricate it as needed!

Maddawg, that's Ramsey Hardware's parking lot, looking north-easter-ish.

That explains why - I never shop there so I don't know what the parking lot resembles. I'm always at Lowe's for hardware. The specialty stuff and fittings I go to Winchester and shop at Solenbergers.

I love Solenbergers. For larger quantities of fasteners, check out Fastenal. Right where that other hardware store used to be at the corner of 6th & Commerce/522. Really good prices. There's one in Winchester, too.

That 101 looks a lot better than my old 101 that gets used for dang near everything. I've just about worn the NDT's bald on it, and they were 'new' when I picked it up. It was my first MV.
