Went to Birmingham Al this morning and saw these being flat beded - very cool.
Anyhow - the soft top plastic strip was broken in two pieces and ripped away from the vinyl.

Took 1/4 rivets and a small pair of vice grips and slowly worked down the strip - used some very tight fitting body washers on the exterior of the rivet to help spread the pinch - turned out pretty good and holding tight - Its the only 1/4 length I had so I did not care - it was a test and trial anyhow - they will get touched up eventually.Photo2551.jpgPhoto2574.jpgPhoto2575.jpgPhoto2576.jpgPhoto2577.jpg

I could not put a name to the theivery - but I knew I got the idea from somewhere - and your right - if done right it is like a tank repair - solid as a rock. Thanks Mike.

Looks good Bro.
:papabear:Did you ever find the lil trap door in the floorboard to check the brake fluid in the M923? I haven't found one in the M934 either!!

Its there just keep looking. For some reason its got a dipstick also... and the fluid isnt purple either, its red??? And when I topped mine off with DOT5, suddenly the trans doesnt shift right anymore??? Any ideas?

Good job on the soft top repair, will definitely keep that in mind!

Its not so much the brake fluid reservoir getting low - when I fire up the engine to warm it up and think - AH - maybe you should check the oil level - and I go pull the dipstick and its always low - so I just have been filling it - just cannot seem to catch up to get it on full level. The top repair looks like MAD MAX with the longer rivets sticking out the front but kind cool - they will keep me from climbing on the soft top.

A little etching zinc primer (wally world auto dept) will cover up/paint over the rivets so the un-initiated can get ripped if they try climbing on the roof. On the deuce, you're supposed to check the oil level a minute or so AFTER shutdown, not while it's running - maybe the 900 series is the same way.
