Well gents, a few of you are aware that me and a buddy have been constructing a bobber over the last 10 months or so. We finally got it together and painted. I will add to this thread as the finishing touches are put in place.
Now for a few details on the truck itself. It started life as a relatively clean m35a3. We used an m105 for the bed as commonly done. Originally we had planned on using the 105 suspension for the rear but another friend mentioned how cool it would be to use air bags. So what the heck. We found the rear half of a freight liner and pulled the suspension parts from that. Unlike others who tried everything to make their truck sit level we wanted a slightly nose down look. Especially since the a3 has the hood that slopes up a bit. We did install shorter bags than what the freightliner was equipped with. The tires are 14.00-20 xzl's using the factory a3 wheels. The winch is a warn 12k 24v.
On the interior we insulated and carpeted the cab and installed air ride seats out of a kenworth truck. In the near future the cab will have an integrated cb and stereo system along with an in-dash gps/backup camera. I'm sure we will find some other things to shove in as we go.
