Hi Everyone on SS!

I have been a long time "creeper" but just joined up this morning. The wealth of knowledge that many of you have is incredible, I hope to be able to learn a lot from you!

I am very interested in a M35A3 that is currently in WA state. I have a few questions for the fellow CA members:

- Can I get it registered in CA not going the "historic vehicle" route if it has a clean WA title?
- Does the 2015 diesel "ban" (for better lack of terms) play into the registration of this vehicle?

Any and all info, or pointing me in the right direction of posts related to this would be greatly appreciated.

Jordan, Welcome from KY, can't help you with the "CA" questions, I'm sure someone will jump in from CA. Lots of good people and know how available here.

If it is not 26 years old it can not be registered historic. If it is not historic if will be subject to CARB

Second issue is in CA to drive a 3 axle vehicle over 6,000 ( yes 6 not 26) you need a class b

They're a little testy over there on the Left Coast, aren't they? But as goes CA, always seems like sooner or later so goes everybody else. Hope those restrictions don't filter back to Good Ol' Virginia for a while...

Thank you for the answers quickfarms. So then the question is, can it be registered in CA until 2015 when CARB comes into effect?

Wreckles,

Wecome to SS. If you are near Vacaville tomorrow (10/12/13) I would suggest you come to the "Mustangs and more" plane and car show at the Nut Tree airport. I'll be there with 5 ton larry and we can answer all your questions as well as meet each other. We can certainly talk trucks!
