Steel Soldiers now has a few new forums, read more about it at: New Munitions Forums!
I once heard some lady named Nancy said "We have to pass the bill to find out what's in it". Heck...it worked once...why not again?
Thanks John.
I plan to support this bill when it comes for a floor vote.
Thanks,
John
I think so. My 86 M1008 has the FMVSS sticker and is titled so it should be no problem. If one were to buy a 94 LMTV lets say M1078 and was able to get the SF97, it should be able to be registered as FMVSS standards were part of the contract between DOD and Stewart and Stevenson, right?Kenny - yes to your question.
Grounded Wheeled vehicles that GL has issues an SF 97 to are included (not per name) but by the DOD requirements of Mil-Std 1180B.
They are exempt but comply with manufacture specifications which are pages and pages of FMVSS standards. Remember the YEAR is the factor here and not Manufacturer. GL will not issue an SF 97 to anything that cannot be titled or registered.
