I have a bad battery on a m931a2. Does anyone know where I can buy a battery or a part number for it?
Steel Soldiers now has a few new forums, read more about it at: New Munitions Forums!
Don't be so quick to toss the Hawkers, since they can often be brought back from the dead. Search here on threads about Hawker batteries and how to charge them. I had 4 with the volts so low they wouldn't take a charge from a smart charger, but put 2 of them on 1.5 amp and 2 amp chargers for 2 weeks, they then took a full charge. Just those two previously dead batteries now start a M931A2 with no problems. I'm currently slow charging the other two.3 out of 4 of the 2008 Hawker HASP-FT batteries tested bad, so I plan to replace all 4.
I'd like to try and recover those batteries on my special battery charger. It is the one the military uses to charge those...HD something or other. It's part of my common 1. I'll be coming through that way in another 45 days.3 out of 4 of the 2008 Hawker HASP-FT batteries tested bad, so I plan to replace all 4. A quick check at O'Reilly's auto parts store shows they have series 31 batteries but with different dimensions and terminal post placement. Does anyone know if a battery of the same configuration that drops-in and is held in place with the battery hold-down brackets? Thanks!
What is the key to such long life, especially in Alaska?Don't give up on the old batteries. 6 years is not too old. I have two pairs of 6TL's going strong at 12 years.
