I've seen trucks labeled as M923A3's in various places. I though it was a mislabeling at first. Does anyone have any info on the M923A3? What make it different from an A2?

The only thing I could think of is the up armored version (the boxy bullet proof version ) being called the A3???

Nope they are M939A2P1's. I believe that people are just making typos. I have seen literally thousands of 939s and never an A3.

I have seen some gl truck typo like that in the past but they were m35a3's according to the pics posted in Barstow.

just a typo even the refit M939 trucks with the upgraded cab (roll bar and instrument panel) are called M939A2's.
