Actually, my employer needs it. We have an old Winco that refused to start yesterday. It is a 6BT powered unit, with the Lucas CAV injector pump, bad fuel probably froze plungers or transfer pump vanes. Inlet screen was plugged, separator had a cup of water in it.

so I was looking at an MEP007a. Now those are 416 volt but I saw where the adjustment range is up to 480. Is that for real? I know my 002a will get to about 230 in three phase.

There is a guy on the Stak that has a 300KW(max) 480V capable 3 phase with a Detroit 12V71 that might be soon available. Is in MI though. Thread is called 'Delco AC Generator'. Nice low hour unit looking for a real job?

300 kW would be too much. Our factory has 208 service, the equipment we make is for all over the world and uses from 5 to 80 kW of power, both resistive and inductive loading with up to 15 HP 3 phase motors. Some of it needs 50 Hz so the 007 makes sense.

We have a small transformer that can swing 12 kW resistive load, boosting from 208 to 480. Gp which is why we have the Winco generator. Now I would love to have my own 007, if only to play with. The Winco will get fixed, eventually.

I will see if I can get an 007 then. Which means I will need a trailer with at least a 7k payload rating.

Well, thanks for the offer but when I get a 007, it will live most of its life on the trailer. Which means I also need a compact tractor to haul it to the shop. This hobby is getting complicated.

I know a guy who has a few 5.9L 6BT industrial engine cores. I might be able to get you an injector pump for not much more than shipping if he has one. If you post/send a photo of the tag with the CPL (that is usually by the pump) I can check with him.

Deal. Boss man is sensitive with releasing photos of equipment but for shipping costs...

Thanks! I got the tag on the injection pump or at least tried. Been suffering from a C6 stenosis and cannot hold light and camera at the same time...

thinking a pencil rubbing would be better. Eventually. Right now, we are ok in the power department, my OCD on power generation equipment will not let this sit. Generators must run. The rest of the solution is messy, fuel tank clean out and that is two tanks.
