No Headlights on my '90 BMY Harsco M923A2

I have no headlights on my 923 and the blue bright light indicator stay on when I turn the light switch on. All wires are connected properly (#'s matching), but the left side headlight is burned out.

I bought the HID headlight kit from Those Mil Guys (TMG), but I do not want to put them in until I know what the problem is.

I thought that maybe the dimmer switch was bad so I ordered a new one from TMG . . . . Plugged the new one in and I still have the same problem.

Any thoughts on what the problem might be or what I can try to remedy this problem?

Thanks,

Make sure the lower left switch on the three lever switch is not all the way down, that gives parking lights (no headlights). Might not be that simple but worth checking.

Sounds like you have the electronic push button. It requires a separate ground from the screw on the back of the switch to a good ground.
Check your switch ground wire also check for voltage at the headlights. One hot low beam, one hot high beam, and ground.

Did you check and pull the bulbs to see if they are plugged in all the way? or if they could be bad? I got a truck that 1 the ground was unplugged. And the other had a bad bulb lol.

[h=1]Need Some Assistance[/h]You should try to keep everything in one thread so people trying to help you know all the problems and what has been done to fix them . Some things can be related especially electrical problems .

I have tried the switches in every position, but to no avail. Robert (Those Military Guys) told me to check the the wires to see if I was getting any volts through the wires with my volt meter, which there is 24v on the low and high on both the left and right.

Thanks for the response. No, I have the 3-lever switch.

Thanks for the response. Yes, as I stated above, Robert (Those Military Guys) had me check all of the connectors to make sure that they were #'s matching and fully connected, which I have done. That's why I posted here to see if anyone else has had a similar issue. The left headlight bulb is burned out (black inside), so I disconnected it to see if it made any difference, but it did not.

Yes it is the same truck. I did a separate thread so as not to confuse people who were reading the 'Need Some Assistance' thread that Those Military Guys started on my behalf.

Are any other of your lights working? Are you getting 24v to the wires out to the bulbs? Is your switch the old mechanical 1 or a push button style?

Sorry I just read you had the old mechanical unit. Have you tried swapping it out? They are easy to change. My m35a2 I use to have had a bad switch. Drove me nuts !!

Yes, all other lights work, although I did have to replace 3 marker light bulbs when I first got the truck, but they all light up and function properly, just not the headlights?!

No I haven't changed it. I just might try that. Thank you for the suggestion.
