VIN History

Someone on a CUCV Facebook group mentioned someone here being able to trace back CUCV VINs to a specific unit or pull up other history on it. Who can do this? I'm interested to know some history on my M1009

Actually Eric, it is actually "EVER!" He still PM'd me. Wish 'Someone' on FACEBOOK will put that out. I don't do facebook.

Either way, thanks for the answer CARNAC. When you get thing rolling for 2015 I'll get my info up and I'll be more than happy to make a donation for the service.

Here is what I wrote on Facebook CARNAC let me know if it will work the way I worded it:
CARNAC asks to let you guys know, that he Doesn't want PM's on steel soldiers forum asking about their vin history (or any PM's).Best is to wait for a VIN # request thread for 2015 and follow
the instructions in that as per previous similar threads for 2013 and 2014

To respect CARNAC's wishes and privacy, his name should be completely removed from the Facebook crap. Many members here do not and will not use Facebook.

The fact that CARNACs name is posted outside of this site is rude and discourtiuous. He has graciously provided this service for SS members, not the general public.

CARNAC provided this service in good faith, to any member here. And these members in return made a contribution to a common cause.
I don't see how his wishes were disrespected. It's not like anyone posted private information. All that happened was that people pointed out this forum to a group of enthusiasts
of CUCV's
