Replacement heater core for M35a2

My heater core sprung a leak. Does anyone know of a replacement civi or aftermarket heater core, that will drop into the box?

I have a used take off I will sell for $40 + S&H.

I havent looked to see the failure mode just yet. It was putting steam into the cab on my return trip and dumping coolant into the engine bay, so I just turned the valves to isolate it off.

Be careful if and when you try to solder it. Some solders and fluxes destroy aluminum.

So could it be something as simple as a loose hose fitting?

It could be, but putting steam inside the cab is almost a sure sign of core failure. I'm sure he looked to see when he saw the coolant flowing out of the heater box.

I am fairly sure it is a bad core. I flushed it along with the coolant system prior to this failure. A lot of rust came out of it. The flush probably opened up a pin hole.

Good idea to install a coolant filter kit then. I just installed one myself and I'm loving it.

So far, no luck finding a civi replacement. Non on that list are a direct drop in.

I found a link from osh kosh that sells them at too much money. Here is the link;

As long as the tanks are good a radiator shop can recore it. it cost me 75$ to have the one in my M1008 recored.
