emergency fuel shut off valve

anybody bypass the cable actuated fuel shutoff valve,i got one leaking out of the top fitting, may try to trim the end a new ferrell. anybody have any luck with this method? does anybody have a source for the valve? thanks , jon the truck is a 932a1
