Kids Allowed on Fort Hood???

I am picking up my HMMWV from Fort Hood.

I would like to take my kids with me.

Are kids allowed on base? Naturally they don't have ID, so is there a rule about that??

I know this is true with dependent ID, what about a guy picking up a HMMWV that has never served? Some states offer ID cards for the young'uns, some don't.

Yeah some are really sticklers on checking in others are just a wave through. Take them to the bowling alley if they haven't closed it down yet.

They won't ask for them.

You best bet would be to call Fort Hood.

Seven years never asked for an ID card for my kids.

Was also stationed there for 8 years.

My experience on Air Force bases was that if the kids were obviously young, they were all but looked over in the vehicle.

Minors under 16 should not have to produce an ID. If you have kids that look old for their age, you might get questioned.
