I need to swap hoods, on my M932A2, and need to know an estimate (for insurance purposes) on how long it takes. Thanks.
Steel Soldiers now has a few new forums, read more about it at: New Munitions Forums!
I'm curious how your hood was damaged and why insurance is involved. Inquiring minds want to know.I need to swap hoods, on my M932A2, and need to know an estimate (for insurance purposes) on how long it takes. Thanks.
It was used, by a city, for part of their 4th of July festival. We were told that a security guard would specifically be assigned to the military vehicles 24/7, prior to ever agreeing to there use in the event. That never happened and people used them for jungle gyms. Not a lot of wiggle room, for the city, when there are numerous Facebook posts of kids people standing on top of the truck and we have before and after photos......I'm curious how your hood was damaged and why insurance is involved. WTF? I'd be furious! It was used, by a city, for part of their 4th of July festival. It wasn't intentional apparently. We have a combination of incompetence on the part of the city, and (most likely) ignorance on the part of people and their kids. A new hood and appropriate compensation and it should be ok. By refusing to get furious you have the opportunity to make a good impression that will reflect well on the entire MV community.WTF? I'd be furious!
I just saw your post. I did mine a little different to save some time and work since I don't have a crane. If you have a crane, it does not take long at all for the physical swap of the hood. Swapping over the fenders and stuff, that takes a long time.
Yes, yes it does. The dent is gone though and more importantly I got half my garage back, lol.Yeah, with a crane, you undo the 4 bolts under the hinge and lift. Its that easy.
As you have found, swapping everything over sucks azz.
