My 1984 M923 has a maximum speed of 45 miles per hour. Is there anyway to make it go faster?

And also make sure you're not counting the converter lockup as a gear.You may want to ensure the fact that it's shifting all 5 gears. 50-55 on 11.00's all day long .
Agreed. Both 923's I had would do 55 mph at 7000ftIt should be going a little faster then 45 mph with the 11.00x20's. Should go around 50-53 mph at 2000 rpm.
mine with 11.00R20's runs 60 no problem...Rocket boosters, or always drive downhill with a stiff wind at your back. But seriously you probably have the 11x20 tires, if you swapped them out for the 14's you will gain some. Mine with the 14's will go 60 comfortably.
