Is there a way to make soft doors work with with X door strikers? Also, what are X Doors made of and do they offer any ballistic protection without any armor added to them?
Kevler, glass is triple ply. Different positions for striker vs latch. The kevlar might stop a .380 but my 9 goes through no problem. Rifle is a no brainier. The supplemental is a 2 ply hardened steel overlay. Glass can stop most pistol but again, no brainer with a rifle.
I had no idea there was any ballistic protection. Something is better than nothing. Where can replacement window glass be purchased? I'd want to get replacment ballistic glass if that is what comes standard with the non-uparmored X Doors.
Also, I am guessign there is no easy back and forth between soft and X Doors without changing strikers then?
I can tell you for certain tomorrow but if I recall correctly the soft door swings to hook the b pillar in some fashion. I will be installing x door latches on my soft door tomorrow. my soft doors have been in the bed and I have been too busy to remember how they hold the doors shut.
