I thought some of you may be interested in this. I've been having water leak into the cab of my M1008 through the kick panel air vents. They probably haven't been changed since 85 so I ordered some new seals and air vent doors from LMC Truck and they worked out pretty good. I wasn't able to find a seal for the passenger side so I just ordered 2 of the drivers side seals and trimmed one a little to fit the passenger side. It wasn't bad to get everything out, just unscrewed everything and they pulled right out. The driver's side took a little wrestling and maneuvering but it wasn't bad. Below are some pics of the before and after.

LMC Truck Part #'s
Air Vent Valve - 38-5350
Air Vent Seal - 30-2340

When I had mine out I was able to reach up in the passenger side and found a mouse nest and other debris stuffed by the heater fan. Was wondering why I didn't have much air flow.

Poor mouse. He is homeless now and he was bragging to the rats that he lived in a CUCV. I guess your house is more comfortable. What channel do mice like to watch on TV? The animal planet of course.

Bad Vent Panel?

I followed your lead and ordered the same parts. Foam wasn't a direct fit but close enough like you said after its trimmed of any overlap.

I am having an issue though with the proper sealing of the new door flap. The driver side fits perfect and has a good seal. The passenger side however, does not as seen in the photo. When placed back to back they both are the same size, just seems like the passenger side has more of a dip just in that non sealed area. Was it like this on yours or am I going to need a new panel?

Glad I did test fit before I put work into these haha.
