Temporary Fix For Leaky Brake Line

Got a wheel cylinder out on a deuce. It is at a location where we can't work on it. It was suggested we plug off that line, and drive slowly on back roads to the shop. Is this feasible?

Yes, it has been done before. Make sure you get the correct plug to cap the pressure line off. Drive guarded.

Instead of the hollow bolt that connects the brake line to the cylinder, use a regular solid bolt of the same size. Line plugged.

Good trick ! Now everyone just needs to carry a few bolts of this size in their repair kit.
