I bought a M1082 out of Ft Hood today. It looks like the emergency air hose has been cut. Anyone have pics of how the air lines hook up on the trailer side? I'd like to have everything I need to swap it out before going to pick it up.

Looks like a common 18 wheeler interconnect air line made by Velvac.
I figured it was something common but just not sure how it connected on the trailer side before I purchase something. I'm imagining something that just screws into a port with the glad hand on the other side but having never been up close to one not certain.

The inter-vehicle cable is in the bed. With a little luck it'll be good.

Depending on when your trailer was rebuilt there may be a 90 degree elbow and a reducer/adapter to fit standard trucker airlines. My 2011 rebuild was like this, all my other 01-04 trailers were just plumbed right into the trailer without anything else.

Looks like the brakes are caged so I'll probably just tow it home like that. I'd hate to get in to something in the lot that locked the brakes up preventing movement.

Love that you have 8 business days to recover but can only do it on a Thursday.

If you need some air lines, I can send them out today if you get back with me within an hour or so, if not I can get them out tomorrow. I had the same issue and had some cut air lines of two of them that I purchased. After new lines, the brakes worked great.

Secret PM sent ;)

Just remember to check your trailer lights output on your truck! I didn't when I picked up a 1082 out of Ft Leonardwood and found out I only had a left blinker signal working.

Thanks for the offer but I think I'm going to wait until I get it home to delve into it. It could be the line was just folded over in the pic or it could be missing the end. Best to get it all figured out before I start ordering parts.

I'm going to take some plug in lights with me too (just have to figure how to hook them up to the 12v plug) that way I have a back up in case the intervehicle cable is no good or missing from the bed when I get there.

Mark, as I have followed your posts on the M1078, I am having trouble imagining a tan trailer with a camo truck. Everything you do is detailed so well. Please tell me you plan to paint the trailer to match the truck! Oh, just so you know, we will all let you wait until you get it home! :driver:

BTW, congrats on the purchase.

I'm trying to stay as close to "in service" as possible for shows and such. Since I see camo trucks pulling tan trailers all the time I figured that was the correct combination :)
