Vacuum Pump orientation...Does it matter?

Hello all,

Does the orientation of the vacuum pump matter?

I had to rotate it out of the way to finally install (after all these years) the coolant plate with a temp gauge sending unit in the rear area of the passenger side head.

I was having a clearance issue so I rotated the pump so the diaphragm faces the rear towards the firewall.

Any problem with this?

Thanks...!

Nope, other than bumping it into the resistor pack on removal and making sparks. Yup, already been there!
