M-809 transfer case swap options?

Is there any options to swap out the stock sprag clutch transfer case for a case that has a more positive engagement? Maybe a case with air shift. Has anyone ever done this? If so what did you use and what did it take to get it done?

I have welded the sprag up in the T138 so that it is full time.

I have a transfer case from a m929 for sale,$350

I'm running 16.00 tires and I love them so I don't think a transfer case with higher gearing is in my future. Simp, can you tell me more about welding the sprag.
