Yes you can tap into that area for oil pressure. But you are NOT getting a true accurate reading. You want to measure oil pressure at the farthest point in the system. The best place is at the rear of the engine where the oil pressure sending unit is mounted. You can T it off and use the stock sending unit with the oil capillary or an electronic sending unit. And give an accurate reading of engine oil pressure. NOT the oil pressure in the cooler lines.It's also a great place to tap into for an oil pressure gauge.
